Using field recodings surreptitiously recorded by a Walmart team associate during a full day's shift at his day job, BLUE BOX BLUES BANNED makes its debut recording for KNNO Sounds. Inspired by. the recording and processing methods of Sam McKinlay (The Rita), BLUE BOX BLUES BANNED captures the chaos of the worst shopping day of the year for retail employees and wraps it in a sonic cocoon of gated distortion and compression. The end result is a soothing balm to anyone ever feeling overwhelmed after a day on the job.
